Running isn’t the only kind of challenge you can host. In fact, the more creative you are in picking, the more interested participants will be. You can encourage your participants to do a climb, a swim.
SheJumps is an organization whose mission is to get women and girls involved in outdoor activities, and they chose to do a climb. It both raised money and fulfilled its mission.
If you want to make something more accessible, Yeah! Yoga created an incredibly fun and accessible challenge: each day participants would take a photo of one yoga pose. It got a ton of community engagement, brought attention to their work, and brought on individual fundraisers.
If you want to have a successful live stream, you’ll want to choose whether to record some of your content in advance or whether to do it all live. It can be very helpful to pre-record some elements of your program because that reduces technical issues. If you’re planning to have a message from your Executive Director, or a story about a client, pre-recording can be a life saver.
